בימים האחרונים חשבתי רבות והתלבטתי עד בלי די בנידון קיום התפילה בבית הכנסת.
המסקנה ההלכתית המתבקשת, לאור ההתפתחויות האחרונות, היא שאנו נדרשים לשמור על בריאותינו למהדרין.
אין אנו שומרים רק על עצמינו אלא נזהרים במצוות ואהבת לרעך כמוך. וכפי שכתוב בבא קמא כג., "יותר יש לאדם להיזהר עצמו שלא יזיק אחרים משלא יוזק עצמו."
קשה עד מאד לסגור את בית הכנסת. הלב נקרע והראש אינו קולט. אבל אנו יודעים שאת ליבינו
וכוונותינו ה' מבקש בכל מקום ובכל שעה.
אנו לא עומדים לבד מול נגיף הקורונה. כולנו חשופים. אבל ימים מאתגרים אלו צריכים להיהפך לימים מרוממים ושמחים.
עלינו למצוא את הערך באתגרים, לבחור לראות את האור בחושך, לדעת לחיות את ההרמוניה שבמתח, ולחוות את חשיבות האחדות בניתוק.
יש כאן תוכנית שמימית, ודווקא בתקופה זו של צרה, נדרשת מאיתנו עוצמה של תפילה, צדקה וחסד אשר יש בה כוח לפרוץ גדרות ולרפא את העולם.
נמשיך להתפלל יחד בזמנים הקבועים של המניינים, כל אחד ממקומו ומביתו, אך כציבור המוציא אמתותו בתפילת כל פה.
אבינו מלכנו, בטל מעלינו כל גזירות קשות. אבינו מלכנו, מנע מגפה מנחלתך. אבינו מלכנו, חננו ועננו כי אין בנו מעשים, עשה עמנו צדקה וחסד והושיענו. בברכת בשורות טובות ישועות ונחמות לכל עם ישראל, הרב יוסף אות
Dear Kehillat Hazvi Yisrael, “Hovevei”,
The past few days I have been tirelessly reflecting upon the subject of minyanim in shul.
The sensible Halachic conclusion, in light of recent developments, is that we must preserve our health with utmost caution.
We are not only safeguarding ourselves, but meticulously observing the mitzva of v’ahavta l’reiacha kamocha. As it says in Bava Kama, “A person must be more careful not to harm others than be careful not to be hurt himself.”
It is extremely difficult to close the doors of a beit knesset. It is heart-breaking and almost incomprehensible. Yet, we know that Hashem desires and accepts our tefillot everywhere and at all times.
We do not stand isolated against the Corona virus. We are all equally vulnerable. However, this trying period should be transformed into glorious, joyful days.
We must find value in the challenges, choose to see the light in the shadows, appreciate moments of harmony from within the tension, and experience the importance of unity from separation.
It is clear that Hashem’s Heavenly hand is at work, and it is specifically in this time of pain and uncertainty that we must muster our strength through prayer, tzedakah, and chessed, all of which contain the power to break barriers and heal the world.
We will continue to daven according to Hovevei’s regular schedule, each person from his and her own home, but together, as a community, whose truth emanates from the prayers of its collective soul.
Avinu Malkeinu, rescind all harsh decrees from upon us. Avinu Malkeinu, prevent a plague from upon your land.
Avinu Malkeinu, be gracious and answer us, though we have no worthy deeds; act with kindness and charity towards us and save us.
