Letter from our President עדכון לגבי שעת התפילה במניין המרכזי

חברי הקהילה היקרים,

לאחר ששמענו דעות רבות בנוגע לשעת התפילה החדשה בהיכל שמואל – הן מצד התומכים והן מצד המתנגדים – התכנס הוועד כדי לדון בנושא.

כפי שהבהרנו מלכתחילה, כל השינוי נעשה, ועדיין נעשה, כתקופת ניסיון. יש חברים המרוצים מתחילת התפילה בשעה 8:45, ויש אחרים הסבורים ששעה זו אינה מתאימה.

לאחר התייעצות עם הרב צרויה, הוחלט לנסות פתרון של פשרה. לפיכך, החל מהשבת הקרובה, המניין המרכזי יתחיל בשעה 8:30. חשוב לזכור שגם ההחלטה הזו היא חלק מתקופת הניסיון, שמטרתה לבחון מהו הסדר המתאים ביותר למרבית חברי הקהילה. בתום תקופת הניסיון אנו מקווים שנוכל לקבל החלטה קבועה.

כמו תמיד, אשמח מאוד לשמוע את דעתכם ולקבל את המשוב שלכם. אנו רואים את עצמנו כמשפחת חובבי ציון, וכמשפחה אנו שואפים למצוא יחד את הדרך שתשרת בצורה הטובה ביותר את רוב חברי הקהילה. גם אם בסופו של דבר דעתכם תהיה דעת המיעוט, אנו בטוחים שתמשיכו להרגיש שכל אחד ואחת מכם הם חלק חשוב ומשמעותי ממשפחת קהילת חובבי ציון.

תקוותנו הכנה היא שנזכה לקבל את ההחלטות הנכונות עבור קהילתנו, מתוך שיקול דעת, אחדות והרצון להיטיב עם כלל החברים.

נ.ב. לפי החלטת הוועד לאחד את המנינים בשבת מברכים, בפרשת ראה, ה8 לאוגוסט יהיה מנין מאוחד. ברוח הפשרה המנין בשבת זו יתחיל בשעה 8:45

Dear Kehilla,

After hearing many opinions regarding the new davening time in Heichal Shmuel—both from those who support the change and from those who d o not—the Va’ad met to discuss the matter.

As we explained from the outset, this change was introduced, and continues, on a trial basis. Some members are pleased with the 8:45 a.m. starting time, while others are not.

In consultation with Rav Zruya, it was decided to try a compromise. Therefore, beginning this coming Shabbat, the main minyan will start at 8:30 a.m. Please remember that this decision is also part of the trial period, whose purpose is to determine the arrangement that best serves the majority of our Kehilla. At the conclusion of the trial, we hope to make a permanent decision.

As always, I would very much appreciate hearing your thoughts and receiving your feedback. We view ourselves as the Hovevei family, and as a family, we strive to find the path that best serves the majority of our community. Even if your opinion ultimately turns out to be the minority view, we are confident that you will continue to feel that each and every one of you is an important and valued member of the Hovevei family.

It is our sincere hope that we will be guided to make the right decisions for our Kehilla, with wisdom, unity, and a genuine desire to do what is best for our members.

P.S. In accordance with the decision of the Va'ad to unite the different minyanim on Shabbat Mevorchim. On Parshat Re'eh, August 8, there will be a united minyan in Heichal Shmuel. In  the sprit of compromise, the minyan will begin at 8:45  that Shabbat.
