Seudah shlishit with Professor Elisheva Baumgarten.

On Shabbat Parshat Re'eh August 31, there will be a seudah shlishit in honor of Rosh Chodesh Ellul

The guest speaker will be Professor Elisheva Baumgarten.

She will speak in English.  Topic: A Month of Repentance. Ellul in Historical Perspective.

Elisheva Baumgarten is Professor Yitzhak Becker Chair of Jewish Studies and Professor of Jewish History and History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is the author of Mothers and Children: Jewish Family Life in Medieval Europe and   Practicing Piety in Medieval Ashkenaz: Men, Women and Everyday Religious Observance  and coeditor of Entangled Histories: Knowledge, Authority, and Jewish Culture in the Thirteenth Century. She is Vice Dean of Research in the Humanities Faculty.

The seudah will follow Mincha Ketana which that week will be at 6:00.PM
