An internationally respected scientist, Ron has 38 years (including 12 in Israel) of scientific, managerial and executive R&D experience for vaccines, immunotherapeutics and biological products in small, medium and large biotech/pharma companies. A former Chief Technical Officer of an Israeli biotechnology incubator, he is now an independent consultant. He has championed / led parts of R&D efforts on a wide range of vaccines and immunotherapeutics from discovery or in-licensure through development to product licensure and launches in major markets, including several licensed products which together have annual worldwide sales ~$5B. He is (co)author of more than 100 publications and 40 review articles, and (co)editor of 8 books. He has made more than 100 invited presentations, chaired many sessions at international scientific conferences, consulted for different companies (including for COVID vaccine), and served on related Advisory Boards. He is the founding (2004) and incumbent Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed indexed international journal Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics which publishes more than 400 papers per year.
