A note to our members and friends The time we all talk about "after the holidays" is upon us. Usually it has the connotation of getting to things that we have put off. In this case, however, it is a time of showing appreciation, Hakarat Hatov.
The appreciation is not only for work that went into the holiday arrangements, but for all that has transpired since we have come to live with the reality of Corona.
We want to thank Rabbi Ote for adapting himself to zoom. We want to thank him also for the weekly Divrei Torah that add to so many meals on Shabbat and all the other things that he does.
We want to thank Menachem for, first and foremost, keeping us safe and healthy. We want to thank him for all the extra hours and work he put in to arrange all the minyanim and their seating.We want to thank him for the ongoing contact with our members who are outside of Israel. We also want to thank all those who helped him achieve the above.
I am happy to announce that we are BE"H once again having a kiddush in Blondheim Hall this Shabbat. The kiddush will be in honor of all our Chatanim of Simchat Torah
We are also returning to an old shul tradition on parshat Lech Lecha of honoring our new Olim at the kiddush.

הזמן שדברנו עליו כל כך הרבה ״ אחר החגים״ הגיע. בדרך כלל מדובר -במשימות שדחינו. הפעם, אבל, מדובר על הכרת הטוב
הכרת הטוב לא רק עבור כל מה שהיה כרוך לחגים אלא עבור כל העבודה הנוספת בגלל מגפת הקורונה
אנו רוצים להודות לרב אות שהתאים את עצמו לדרוש דרך זום. אנו רוצים להודות לו עבור הדברי תורה שהוא מכין כל שבוע שמוסיף לארוחות השבת שלנו, ולכל מה שהוא תורם לקהילה
אנו רוצים להודות למנחם,קודם כל, ששמר על בריאותינו. אנו רוצים להודות לו עבור כל השעות הנוספות שהקדיש לסדר את כל המנינים . הוא היה הראשון להגיע לבית הכנסת והאחרון לצאת. אנו רוצים להודות לו ששמר על קשר עם כל חברינו שהיו בחו״ל. אנו גם רוצים להודות לאלו שעזרו לו כל כך הרבה במשימות הנ"ל
אני מאוד שמחה לבשר שבע״ה שוב יתקיים השבת קידוש באולם בלונדהיים. הקידוש יהיה לכבוד כל החתנים של שמחת תורה. אבל בנוסף אנו מחדשים מסורת ישנה של בית הכנסת, לכבד את העולים החדשים שלנו דוקא בפרשת לך לך.
