The main minyan in Heichal Shmuel will start at 8:45 instead of 8:15 and the minyan for children which is being inaugurated this week will begin at 9:30. 

Report About The General Meeting 17/6/2026

Dear Kehilla,

First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation to all those members who took the time to come to last night’s meeting and to make many excellent suggestions. Your presence and participation is greatly appreciated.

This was the first time that a meeting was called not for the purpose of selecting a Rav or a new va’ad or to approve the fiscal report. This was a meeting expressly set up to hear and be heard regarding things going on in our shul as a whole. The focus was on social aspects that will bring us closer together and continue to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for new comers as well as for veteran members. Those ideas raised will be collated and presented to you at a later date.

There were three main ideas that were discussed which will be implemented BEGINNING THIS SHABBAT

1- to have a children’s minyan

2- to have a kiddush every Shabbat

3- to change the time of the main minyan ( especially in the summer when the days are so long) and to shorten the davening time.

This coming Shabbat we are implementing all three of the above ideas.

Please keep in mind that this is just a TRIAL , Nothing is written in stone.

The only way to see if something works is to try it out. We most definitely want to hear your comments and suggestions so that adjustments can be made if need be

.

The times for the main minyan and the children’s minyan will be publicized in the weekly announcements that will be sent to you tomorrow.

דיווח על האסיפה הכללית מיום ראש חודש סיון תשפ"ז 16/6/26

חברי הקהילה היקרים,

בראש ובראשונה, ברצוני להביע את הערכתי לכל החברים שהקדישו מזמנם והגיעו לאסיפה אמש, וכן העלו הצעות מצוינות רבות. נוכחותכם והשתתפותכם מוערכות מאוד.

זו הייתה הפעם הראשונה שבה כונסה אסיפה שלא לצורך בחירת רב, ועד חדש או אישור הדו"ח הכספי. מטרתה של אסיפה זו הייתה לאפשר לחברי הקהילה להשמיע ולהישמע בנוגע לנושאים הקשורים לבית הכנסת שלנו בכללותו.

מוקד הדיון היה בהיבטים החברתיים שיקרבו בינינו וימשיכו ליצור אווירה חמה ומזמינה עבור חברים חדשים לצד חברים ותיקים.

כל הרעיונות שהועלו ירוכזו ויוצגו בפניכם במועד מאוחר יותר.

שלושה רעיונות מרכזיים שנידונו באסיפה ייושמו החל משבת הקרובה:

1. קיום מניין ילדים.

2. עריכת קידוש בכל שבת.

3. שינוי שעת המניין המרכזי (במיוחד בתקופת הקיץ, כאשר הימים ארוכים כל כך) וקיצור משך התפילה.

בשבת הקרובה נתחיל ליישם את כל שלושת הרעיונות הללו.

אנא זכרו כי מדובר בפיילוט (ניסיון בלבד), ושום דבר עדיין אינו סופי.

הדרך היחידה לדעת אם רעיון מסוים מצליח היא לנסות אותו בפועל.

חשוב לנו מאוד לשמוע את הערותיכם והצעותיכם, כדי שנוכל לבצע התאמות ושיפורים במידת הצורך.

שעות המניין המרכזי ומניין הילדים יפורסמו בהודעות השבועיות שיישלחו אליכם מחר.
